Our Finish

I am way proud of this team. I thought we ran great and had a blast with each other. Just an awesome day, boys.

We Survived

The 100 on 100 is over and we survived! The last couple of legs turned out really well with everyone putting in a great effort. I think that at the end of the day it took us 11 hours and 2 minutes, an average of 6:44 per mile. That was good enough for about 6th place over all. I'll type up all of the leg splits and put them online later. I haven't seen any official results up on the 100 on 100 website but I keep checking.

After the race was over we had an SLU picture at the finish line. We invited all of the teams and any alumni at the race to group up and it was really impressive! There were probably 50 people there that were affiliated with SLU! Success!

To cap it all off we had a few $2 Harpoons at the finish and then a few more drinks back at the condos. I think that everyone was really happy with the day and I can say that I am damn proud of how well we all ran.

Meet the Team!

Folks, meet the 2008 100 on 100 St. Lawrence University Track Starz (SLUTS). Ian Gilfillan is our first star, a 2005 graduate from Boston with hands down the best hair on the team. Yes ladies, he is a bachelor. Next up is our resident speedster, Jim Hall. A 2006 grad and Bow, NH native, Mr. Hall spends most of his time contemplating an escape from NYC and furthering his goal of becoming the world's leading Weekend Champion. Next up is our other Bow man, Peter Lagos. Mr. Lagos is unique in that he only attended SLU in spirit and while partying; instead he attended some other school in the NESCAC that we won't get in to. On to our two hitched team members. First up is Steve Folsom, who, since he looks just like me, is the second best looking guy on the team. He's also the most experienced runner on our team, which means hes really old, which means he isn't in his mid 20's. Next up is Ryan Pollock, a newlywed who enjoys fixing computers, playing Wizards of Warcraft, and making fun of me for laughing at everything he says. I mean, I can't help it, dudes a funny man. Lastly, there is me. Thanks for reading and have a great race SLUTS!
